Here is an altered paint can that I made for my oldest niece's 12th birthday. Her favorite color is orange so I tried to encorporate that and blended in some other bright colors. I also made her a card to match. Now I have to work on a few things to fill it up with. Her birthday was last Monday so I am a little late.

Back to the Real World
This has been a busy week since going back to school. I really got used to taking an afternoon nap, so now I'm in bed by 8:45. The weather has been wonderful and David and the kids and I have had a great time with a nightly basketball game. David told Ethan that if he could beat him, he would buy him a new Underarmor shirt. If he lost, he would have to be his dad's servant for a week. It looks like Ethan better get ready to be a step and fetch it kid for his daddy. One of these days he will beat his daddy like a drum!!
I will be working on an altered paint can this week for my oldest niece's birthday present. I will try to post a picture when I get it completed.

Coming Home!
We left Pigeon Forge today and made if home finally. We really enjoyed our cabin but the pollen was so bad that David, Ethan, and Macy struggled with runny noses and chest congestion. The bumble bees were horrible too! We really did have a good, relaxing time. Yesterday we went to Gatlinburg and walked around a bit. Then we went up in the mountains and the kids got to put their feet in the river. COLD!!! The water was freezing, but felt kind of good because the temperature was about 85. It was a shocking coming back to Kentucky today with temperatures 50 degrees. We definitely were not dressed warmly.
It is good to be home. I have still not unpacked our suitcases. I have been playing with some of my new stamps that I bought at the super scrapbook store in Pigeon Forge. I hope the weather gets warmer tomorrow!

Happ 3rd Birthday Macy Leigh!
Our baby turned 3 years old today. That is so hard to believe. She has grown so fast. We traveled to Pigeon Forge today for a quick vacation during spring break. We have rented a wonderful cabin with three king size beds and lots of room. After we ate at Huck Finns (David and Shelby's favorite spot to eat here) we went to Walmart and got Macy a birthday cake. She also got a new Sleeping Beauty baby doll that sings non-stop! Ethan, Macy, and I got into the hot tub after we ate cake. Macy decided that she liked that bath tub. She also wanted to know if this is her new house.
Momma was supposed to come with us, but went to Ashland to be with Aunt Jenny and Uncle Albert to help with the arrangements for Aunt Sergie. Tomorrow we plan to go clothes shopping for the kids. It has been another beautiful day.

Happy Easter 2010
We started our Easter by getting ready and going to Sunday School. The kids looked really cute as we dressed in Easter clothes. Shelby and I were door greeters at 11:00 service and then David came in and joined us for the service. Momma had Easter dinner at her house at 2:00. The kids were very anxious to hunt for Easter eggs. Momma had 24 eggs for each grandchild and their names were on the eggs. Macy and Gabe picked up anybodies eggs because they can't read. That preturbed Shelby and Courtney because they couldn't find their eggs. I thought it was pretty funny! Momma's dinner was very good. We had ham, deviled eggs (Christa made these from her very own chicken eggs), peas, broccoli casserole, mashed potatoes, corn, and hot rolls. She also had strawberries and chocolate cake. The kids went home with Chris and Christa for a little while and I came home to finish up the laundry. We had a very good day! God made it a beautiful Easter Sunday!

April 3, 2010
I ordered a new cricut cartridge last night on ebay: Mini Monograms. I am excited and can't wait for it to come in. I love anything polka dot and monogrammed. Mom and I took the kids to see the movie "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" last night. It was pretty cute. I had told Ethan that if he read the book I would take him to see the movie. He read the first two books. He was giving Mom a play by play of what was getting ready to happen in the movie. Yesterday we heard from Aunt Jenny that Aunt Sergie had past away. I hate to hear that. She was such a sweet and gentle little lady. I hope that Uncle Albert will be able to go on. Tomorrow is Easter. We will go to church in the morning and Mom will have dinner at her house. Shelby and I are greeters at Church during the month of April. I like being able to greet with her. She really is a big help.
