Valentine Mini Album

I wanted to go ahead and think up some different Valentine Day ideas while I'm still off from school and this is the first thing that I was able to come up with. I created a paper bag album using the Stampin Up DSP Love Impressions. I love these little albums! They are so easy and so CUTE!! In the pockets of the bags I made some inserts so that they can be journaled on. I used the stamp set Valentine Defined on the first page. I also used some stickers that I found at Michaels to embellish it. I used jumbo eyelets to hold the album together and decorated them with different ribbons. I plan on making a few more of these and selling them or making kits for people who would like to make one on their own. Let me know what you think!

BUSY! BUSY!

Even though I haven't posted for a few days, I have been busy. I have been cleaning my house after Christmas was all put up. I am patiently waiting for to move into my new craft room and for Shelby to move into her new room but it seems that I am always waiting on a MAN! Oh well, it will eventually get down. I have been working on a few Christmas layouts and a mini album for Valentine's Day. First I'll show you my Christmas layouts. The first layout is totally Stampin Up. i used the Holiday Designer Series Paper and the Ornament punch to make the Christmas tree . I also learned how to make the paper pendants and added a couple of those as well. The next one is totally not Stampin up but I do like it. I made it out of a paper pack that I bought at Michaels. I am also experimenting to figure out which layout we are going to make in our January scrapbooking club at school. I'll probably be making a few more.

Simply Adorned

These are some gifts that I will be giving to my nieces this year for Christmas. I tried to put their personalities inside of the charms. I hope they like them. This is the first project that I have tried with the simply adorned charms.

Holiday DSP Mint Tin Mini Album

I follow Mary on CARDZ TV and I loved this little mini album that she created awhile back and decided to make one myself. I couldn't believe how easy it was to create. I used my favorite Christmas DSP of course and it is just too cute!!!

Welcome Christmas

These are some cards that I made for my mom and mother-in-law for Christmas. I love this stamp set because it reminds me of an old fashioned Christmas. I also love the Christmas DSP this year and the Cherry Cobbler cardstock that coordinates with it. I am running a little late with my Christmas cards this year. I sent off pictures on Thursday to send in the cards and the pictures should arrive in the mail tommorow so I can get those sent out. I will be using this stamp set on other projects!

Christmas Cards

I used a new stamp set (new to me) Holiday Line up to create this card. I cased this card from Dawn's Stamping Thoughts. She has such cute ideas. I used whisper white, black, and marina blue ink and cardstock. I had bought the ribbons a while back at Hobby Lobby (my favorite store). The punches used were 1 and 1and one fourth, and then the scallop punch. I really like this stamp set and I can't wait to make more with this set.

Crafting Again

I have just figured out how to use my Design Studio for my Cricut and I love it. I know that I will probably have to upgrade to a gypsy at some point and time, however, I enjoyed playing with it this weekend. I created a really cute backpack with George and Platin Schoolbook. I also made a couple of Christmas because it is never too early to begin making those. I am hoping to order some of the new Stampin Up stamps soon and begin playing with them. We have had a busy day today. We went to Sunday School and Church, out to eat at Snappy Tomato Pizza (which is really good!), and then baseball practice at 2. It is still so very hot, I wish for cooler weather soon!

Because I Care

Here is a new stamp set that I just got from SU's hostesses gifts. This is called "Because I Care" and I love, love the hydrangeas! I used the new in colors Concord Crush and Pear Pizzaz. I lifted this from the Chic'n'Scratch website. She always has the coolest projects. I had lots of help with these cards because I had a three year old chatter box that constantly ask questions and likes to look at all of my supplies. I really wouldn't have it any other way. Until Later!! Tracy

Teacher

One of my friends who actually got me into my paper craft mania, is also a person who teaches me a lot about this expensive hobby. Here is a card that she made at a workshop at my house. She does a wonderful job!

Here are some pictures of a card workshop we held at my house. I thought everyone did a great job! I haven't figured out how to rotate the pictures yet. Sorry Mom and Dana!

New Paint Cans

I have made two new altered paint cans this past weekend. One is for a 3 year old little boy's birthday. He lives for John Deere tractors. The other is for Ethan's teacher because this week is Teacher Appreciation Week. These are my favorite altered projects. I love how they turn out. I have also scheduled a workshop for the fourth and fifth graders at our school to create a year end review paper bag book from this past school year. I hope that several of them sign up. I am going to charge $10 for the book and all of the embellishments to make it. I know this sounds like a lot but this will also include the adhesive to go along with it. I have also been working on some Mother's Day cards and graduation cards. I sent out invitations for a workshop at my house on May 28th and the guests will make three projects: a card, altered notebook, and a post-it-note holder. I will post some pictures later of the paint cans.

Altered Paint Can

Here is an altered paint can that I made for my oldest niece's 12th birthday. Her favorite color is orange so I tried to encorporate that and blended in some other bright colors. I also made her a card to match. Now I have to work on a few things to fill it up with. Her birthday was last Monday so I am a little late.

Back to the Real World

This has been a busy week since going back to school. I really got used to taking an afternoon nap, so now I'm in bed by 8:45. The weather has been wonderful and David and the kids and I have had a great time with a nightly basketball game. David told Ethan that if he could beat him, he would buy him a new Underarmor shirt. If he lost, he would have to be his dad's servant for a week. It looks like Ethan better get ready to be a step and fetch it kid for his daddy. One of these days he will beat his daddy like a drum!!
I will be working on an altered paint can this week for my oldest niece's birthday present. I will try to post a picture when I get it completed.

Coming Home!

We left Pigeon Forge today and made if home finally. We really enjoyed our cabin but the pollen was so bad that David, Ethan, and Macy struggled with runny noses and chest congestion. The bumble bees were horrible too! We really did have a good, relaxing time. Yesterday we went to Gatlinburg and walked around a bit. Then we went up in the mountains and the kids got to put their feet in the river. COLD!!! The water was freezing, but felt kind of good because the temperature was about 85. It was a shocking coming back to Kentucky today with temperatures 50 degrees. We definitely were not dressed warmly.
It is good to be home. I have still not unpacked our suitcases. I have been playing with some of my new stamps that I bought at the super scrapbook store in Pigeon Forge. I hope the weather gets warmer tomorrow!

Happ 3rd Birthday Macy Leigh!

Our baby turned 3 years old today. That is so hard to believe. She has grown so fast. We traveled to Pigeon Forge today for a quick vacation during spring break. We have rented a wonderful cabin with three king size beds and lots of room. After we ate at Huck Finns (David and Shelby's favorite spot to eat here) we went to Walmart and got Macy a birthday cake. She also got a new Sleeping Beauty baby doll that sings non-stop! Ethan, Macy, and I got into the hot tub after we ate cake. Macy decided that she liked that bath tub. She also wanted to know if this is her new house.

Momma was supposed to come with us, but went to Ashland to be with Aunt Jenny and Uncle Albert to help with the arrangements for Aunt Sergie. Tomorrow we plan to go clothes shopping for the kids. It has been another beautiful day.
